What is CrossFit?

Amazing. Challenging. Makes me want to go back every day.

Yes, I am talking about a workout… not a chocolate cake… unfortunately.

According to the CrossFit Website, “CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more.”.

After I found CrossFit I watched a bunch of YouTube videos, which left me excited at a challenge and yet very unsure I wanted to accept it. There was a great CrossFit journey I watched,Β of a guy on YouTube. It was one of those things where you see this amazing transformation right in front of you and you just think, “Maybe I really can do this!”.

I joined a CrossFit box in my local area and started the on-ramp process as soon as possible. I was fully ready to feel dead after the first time and I thought that I would hate it.

It was the exact opposite!

I couldn’t wait to go back, I was sad I had to wait a WHOLE DAY for my next session. It really has been great for me! To hear more stories about CrossFit, look for blog posts tagged with CrossFit.
